The store was very neat and clean. Nice display when you walk in with greens and fruits on offer.
I expected a bit more out of the bakery. It's quite small for the size of the store and not such a wide variety available.
The store is well organised and plenty of staff about.
The self checkout was only open for the one side, not too sure if this is only opened when it's busier but didn't wait at all so no issue there.
It's good store and parking is easy enough also, bring a mask you'll need it for most of the shops on entering the store
So disappointed with how I was treated by a m&s manager when I asked for urgent access to toilets due to my medical condition. I have a "cannot wait" toilet access card along with a disability card and was refused access with a comment "I don't know what your medical card says but I can't let you in". This was the first time in 6 years that I have been refused access, next time I advise you to look at the medical card and be more considerate towards people with a hidden disability. Honestly thought m&s is better than that.
The store has plenty of choice and seems tidy enough but the cafe when we called in today, was dire. Practically all of the tables were full of dishes and even when a few of them were cleared the staff didn’t clean them. One customer had to ask for something to clean their table and were given kitchen roll to do so themselves. It wasn’t that the cafe was full
Of customers. Obviously managers aren’t doing their job of monitoring the store and managing the staff.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The main part of the shop was well maintained and smelt clean.
Then the toilets!!! Dark and neglected. They appeared to have substances on the walls
and a strong smell of urine.
I call today to get some groceries. I decided to have a coffee and a toasted sandwich. I was told there was only filter coffee and tea. The tea was served in a takeaway cup as they had no cups!!!. My toasted sandwich was served in a takeaway box despite me telling the girl twice I was eating in. She stated "we have no plates"!!!!!. I couldnt believe this from Marks. The floor and tables were filthy despite 4 staff on duty. They were shouting loudly to each other over customers. Disgraceful service!!!!
Favourite store for good quality food and service. Only Downside staff not wearing face coverings or social distancing. Asked a young staff member today why and she said would I fancy wearing a mask for 8 hours a day. I replied as a retired health care worker I knew what it was like but better than a ventilator for 24. Please management lead by example and provide masks and encourage social distancing. Your responsibility to do this. L
It's M&S food, it's a tad expensive but you generally get what you pay for. Easy to access, friendly staff and until brexit always well stocked. Now empty shelves and shorter product shelf life but it's improving! Back to normal in weeks I hope.
